Honing Your Presentation Skills


Presenting information about a project whether it is in a formal or an informal setting is a critical part of any project manager’s responsibility, writes PMPlanet columnist Ron Ponce of Fog City Consulting.

So like any other communication, there must be a great deal of thought and reflection about when and where it will be the most appropriate to deliver the presentation. In some cases, these decisions are made for you. Your management may request a formal presentation on the status of the project, and so you in theory have some time to properly prepare. An informal presentation may be more like a “brown bag” lunch presentation to an internal audience about the project and its objectives.
