Managing Issues (1 hour & 1 PDU)

Issues are a constant in any project. Issues can potentially jeopardize a project if they are not addressed and resolved in a timely manner. The ability to identify and manage issues is a critical success factors for any project. Project managers will have issues brought to their attention as part of their day to day oversight, but to effectively manage them is not a routine activity. An unresolved issue could directly impact many aspects of a project such as cost, scope and time. The best mitigation is to have an issue management plan. This module will focus on determining if a situation or problem is a true issue and, if so, help determine the most proactive and effective way to manage the resolution, tracking, and closure.
